The inspiration for these landscapes is the small village Villers sur Meuse in France. The works are recalls of what I saw. I take a a rowingboat, use magnifical music, and move into the landscape. Only looking and enjoying. When I come in my guestroom I start to paint what I have experienced. I use the same music with it.

When I hear beautiful music I start to create mentally. Then I place myself in an other space and let things happen like I will. Then I am in my own aesthetic univers. This is the inspiration of the fantasy works.

When somebody asks me to make a portret of some familymember, then he has affinity for that person. Affinity gets translated into beauty. Therefore, my task is to represent the beauty of the person.

Mentally I walk through the walls and I create a new space. Afterwards I take again the vieuwpoint in the real space and I project, in my mind, the created space against the walls.Only then I take pencil and paper and start the design to scale. After this, the painting can start.
